Because Corporate Social Responsibility May Be The Key to Reaching That Seventh Generation
The BBC website has some interesting pictures and commentary on the gold industry in Ghana. International companies are investing heavily, helping the area economically, but causing environmental degradation that cause serious health issues with the local population. These issues include poisoning the drinking water (which has also killed fish, a food source) and the air.

I started this blog just as a way to get some information about various CSR issues to people. I won't often comment too much - I'd rather let the articles speak for themselves. Sometimes, however, I can't help myself. I earned an MBA in May 2007. I will begin a job as a Business Analyst with Chevron in July. At that company and position, I hope to learn a great deal about the traditional oil and gas industry. I also hope to be able to work on renewable energy initiatives at Chevron at some point in the future.
