The Mount Nelson Hotel in South Africa is using red wriggler worms to help reduce the amount of waste they ship to landfills. Currently, they are feeding about 20 percent of organic waste to the worms, but hope to increase it to 100% in the next nine months.

I started this blog just as a way to get some information about various CSR issues to people. I won't often comment too much - I'd rather let the articles speak for themselves. Sometimes, however, I can't help myself. I earned an MBA in May 2007. I will begin a job as a Business Analyst with Chevron in July. At that company and position, I hope to learn a great deal about the traditional oil and gas industry. I also hope to be able to work on renewable energy initiatives at Chevron at some point in the future.
